Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year! We trust that everyone had a fun and safe summer. The staff is rested and ready to begin our 18th year of school! We are so excited about the changes that we have made over the summer and hope you also like what we have done. Read on to see what's new.

Open House |
|
 Our open house for new students will be on Tuesday, September 2. We have found this to be a perfect time for children that may be apprehensive to come and meet the teachers and assistants and to become familiar with the classroom. All new students, parents, grandparents, etc. are welcome! Returning students and families who wish to see our remodel are welcome to come as well!
The school will be open from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. You may come any time within those time frames, no matter which class your child is signed up for. |

Our new website address is www.CKMontessori.com Please be patient with us as we are still in the process of uploading all of our information onto our new website and connecting all of the links. Are you excited to see our NEW look? Well, we're excited to show you! Wow, has this ever been a busy summer! Walls were removed, supplies and equipment were moved, new carpet/linoleum was installed, new storage systems were set up, great email discussions were had amongst the staff and now we're ready for you! Here's a quick look at what you can expect:
What is the same?

The ever loving staff - All staff members are returning plus we'll enjoy the addition of a new wonderful intern, Lorelle Skellie

The Montessori equipment and learning activities
-
The daily routine - circle time, work time, story time

The 'valet' system of drop off/pick up
-
Each child has a designated teacher for conferences, etc.
What is different?
-
The shared curriculum areas - Art, practical life, sensorial, science and geography (We've added one shelf with activities for each shared area to accommodate extra interest.)

Class times will be offset by only 15 minutes so please plan to arrive as close to your designated drop off/pick up time (class time) as possible
-
Two classes in one location means more interaction between the students and all of the teachers and assistants
-
More teachers in one location - each teacher has taken on one or two curriculum areas to specialize in so each subject will receive more care and attention
