Greetings,
The staff at Central Kitsap Montessori wish you and your families a merry, merry holiday season. May you have blessed, restful moments with your family and friends. |
| Parent Conferences |
Thank you for attending your child's conference. We always see a difference in the children when they know that they are accountable to you and when they know that their parents and the staff are working as a team. We enjoyed getting to know you better. For the remainder of the year, please feel free to call us for additional conferences, either by phone or in person.
|
| Snow Days |
Our snow policy is the same as the Central Kitsap School District. If CKSD closes school for the day, we will also have no school. This enables us to spread the news through radio, TV, and online. If CK schools are delayed by 2 hours, there will be no morning school. If CK schools are delayed by 1 hour, come if and when you can. Please do not take unnecessary risks. If there are more than 4 snow days during this school year, we will make them up in June. Click on the link below to see school reports.

Quick Tip for the Holidays
Here's a simple rule to follow when buying toys for your children. Choose toys that have some imagination left in them. An example of a good option is an art box or drawer. Provide plenty of paper (all kinds and colors), glue, tape, scissors, etc. (Be "Montessori" and also give them the means to clean up: sponges, etc.) This is the time in their lives to be creative! |
| Kid Quote (Story) of the Month |
At lunch time, a child asks me,
"Do you know what 'Barf-a-more' means?" Racking my brain, I confess, "No, I don't." He jubilantly proclaims, "Please!" Please? Then my high school Spanish kicks in, 'Por Favor' means 'please', and sounds a lot like 'Barf-a-more'. "Por favor?" I ask. His face brightens. "Yes!" he exclaims, "Barf-a-more!"
